RESFEST RETURNS TO L.A.

They’ve made stops and taken names in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, London, and Chicago, and have sold out numerous shows in each and every city. Now, the Resfest Digital Film Festival makes its sweet return to Los Angeles for their fourth annual event on [ November 1st ] , and they plan to stay put until [ November 5th ] . The L.A.-based screenings will begin at the Egyptian Theater, and continue at The Writer’s Guild and The Director’s Guild Theaters.
The 2000 Resfest line-up includes never-before-seen digital film, animation, and video spanning genres from shorts to the Resfest program favorite Cinema Electronica, which features rare and unseen music videos. Resfest’s feature schedule includes Gary Winick’s “Sam the Man,” starring Fisher Stevens and Annabella Sciorra, and the “Wave Twisters” installation of animation and sound by Eric Henry, Syd Garon, and DJ Qbert. Resfest will also screen contributions from R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, pop star Robbie Williams and ex-Police drummer Stewart Copeland, amongst others.
