Stephen Daldry’s (Billy Elliot) “The Hours”, starring Nicole Kidman and Julianne Moore has been pulled from the Venice Film Festival’s schedule due to “technical reasons.”
“The Hours”, adapted from Michael Cunningham’s book, deals with three women whose lives have been deeply affected by the writings of Virgina Woolf. The film was programmed to compete for an award in the festival. Taking its place will be Todd Haynes’s “Far from Heaven”, which also stars Julianne Moore.
The Venice Film Festival runs August 29th – September 8th.
