Rick Baker’s inspiration for the make-up for “Planet of the Apes” seems to have a pop music influence. The resemblance really is uncanny. Helena Bonham Carter in Planet of the Apes and pop star Michael Jackson look exactly alike. The side-by-side photo below doesn’t lie — Jackson could have starred in the film without make-up. Did Baker use Jackson as the model for Planet of the Apes? There’s no way to tell, but file this one in the old “separated at birth” folder.
