PICTUREHOUSE TO ADOPT DEL TORO’S “THE ORPHANAGE”

By Film Threat Staff | February 13, 2007

O.K…so Guillermo del Toro didn’t direct Spanish thriller “The Orphanage,” but he produced it and the guys got great taste. In fact first timer J.A. Bayona has crafted what seems to be a pretty “del Toro-esque” film that sounds really intriguing. It centers on a young woman who purchases her childhood orphanage with hopes of restoring it. However the property awakens strange behavior in her son and creepiness ensues. Sounds pretty sweet!
