PARK CITY FESTS JOIN FORCES

By Film Threat Staff | December 13, 2000

The Park City film festival big guns known to you and I as Lapdance, Nodance, Slamdance, Slamdunk, Sundance and Tromadance are planning to join indie film forces for The Festival Summit party — a bash that will close out this year’s mammoth festival stretch in Utah.
On the night of [ January 26th, 2001 ] , deep in the historic Silver Mine nestled within the Wasatch Mountains, the area fests will party, and party, and party some more. “I would like to partake in that,” you’re probably thinking. Truth be told, The Summit is invite-only, and attendees will likely be festival staff and filmmakers. But, The Summit will mark the beginning of a festival-allegiance known as the Wasatch Festival Syndicate, and this new community will be planning many big film events in the year to come, so be on the lookout.
Details are being dispersed on a need-to-know basis, but you can find out the latest on The Summit from co-hosts Slamdance at [ their web-home. ]
