Jeff Cioletti’s new documentary, “Galaxy’s End: Revenge of the Myth,” the long-awaited follow-up to “Millennium’s End: The Fandom Menace” will have it’s world premiere on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006 at 9 pm at New York Comic-Con, Jacob Javits Center, New York City.
Both “Millennium’s End” and “Galaxy’s End” serve as bookends for the prequel era. Where the first film was about fans’ anticipation for the prequels, the new film focuses on their insights about the aftermath–a post-mortem of sorts on the entire big-screen saga.
Many of the same personalities from “Millennium’s End: The Fandom Menace” return to offer their analyses on the prequel trilogy, the state of fandom and the uncertainty of the years that lie ahead.
“The first film was loaded with giddy optimism, but this one is more of a sobering reality check in a post-prequel world,” notes Cioletti. “There will never be another Star Wars film, at least on the big screen. So, what happens now? How will history judge the prequels?”
