NEW MEXICO GETS AN ALIBI (FEST)

By Film Threat Staff | June 24, 2002

This July 12th and 13th, 2002, the Weekly Alibi’s 8th Annual Short Film Fiesta will take place at the Kimo Theater, located in historic downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico. And for the first time ever, a screening of the Fiesta film finalists will be held at the state capital in Santa Fe.
The Alibi Short Film Fiesta is totally dedicated to the short film because it “captures the spirit of independent filmmaking thanks to its relatively small cost to create, making the art of filmmaking more accessible than ever.” A committee of Alibi newspaper staff members and other judges plan to whittle down the 200-plus entries from all over the world and choose the best 10 to 15 to showcase.
