Usually when there’s a big Hollywood lawsuit, you can’t help think to yourself, “sheesh, what a couple of children.” But this time the big Hollywood lawsuit is being brought to court by a 10 year old filmmaker. Young Dominic Scott Kay came up for the idea for “Saving Angelo,” a short film starring Kevin Bacon, that tells the tale of a dog left to die on the side of the road. The dog is rescued and brought back to proper health and is then given to a local fire department. Kay wrote the script based on experiences from his own life. Awww.
He scored a financier in Conroy Kanter but soon realized “She wanted to make all the decisions and stuff” and “she wanted final cut and everything.” So Kay is taking Kanter to court. Guess you can’t ever start early enough if you want to rake a filmmaker over the coals!
