Stark black and white photography with flashes of light focus on an American Indian. He stands emotionless in front of the New York skyline. In the distance, the World Trade Center buildings burn, and then crash to the ground. The emotionless Indian then looks down on the people running scared from the scene of the tragedy.
I’m not sure if it’s really a short film or more like a couple of opportunistic filmmakers with some short ends. There’s plenty of meaning that could be attached to the striking images, but I don’t think the filmmakers deserve that much credit as the whole thing just felt exploitive. Hey, give me a camera, a gay cowboy, a donut and some film and I’ll make art too!
