The 2006 Method Fest Film Festival, “the only festival completely dedicated to the actor,” kicks off on March 31st, 2006 with a red-carpet gala and West Coast premiere of Jason Matzer’s Dreamland. Stars Agnes Bruckner and Kelli Garner will serve as honorary hosts of the opening festivities and will also receive the Method Fest “Rising Star” award during the after-screening gala at scenic ValleyCrest.
Other events throughout the festival (which runs until April 7th, 2006) include the meriting of Lifetime Achievement awards to two beloved actresses, Ruby Dee and Julie Harris (both appear in fest film The Way Back Home), as well as a Career Achievement award to actor Kevin Pollack, whose film Niagara Motel also plays the festival.
