The 7th Malibu International Film Festival returns to Malibu and Santa Monica April 7-10, 2006. The Malibu International Film Festival is a competition festival with a focus on premiering new film and talent seeking distribution and representation.

After being in jail for a breaking and entering charge, Purvis Young seemed destined to fail. Yet while in prison, Purvis taught himself to paint. Indievest Awards Night Reception & Dinner Party
The 2006 Malibu International Film Festival will wrap up with an awards night dinner party under the stars. This night honors the award winning filmmakers of the 2006 Malibu International Film Festival. Actor Sir Anthony Hopkins will present an award for Achievement in the Arts to Festival Honoree: X-MEN: THE LAST STAND Director Brett Ratner
