Everyone feels a little dread around the holidays, so why not add to those feelings with a horror convention? Organized by film producer Travis Bowen, the first annual Dark X-Mas Horror Convention will be held in Youngstown, Ohio (what with MidOhio and Twisted Nightmare, Ohio is quickly becoming the horror epicenter of the East Coast!) on December 5th, 6th, and 7th.
The guest list is filled with horror and science-fiction celebrities, including Heather Ashley (“Maniacal”), Mike Quinn (“Return of the Jedi”), Chase Masterson (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”), Alana Curry (“Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines”), Amy Lynn Best (“Severe Injuries”), Leonard Lies (“Dawn of the Dead”), Robin Curtis (“Star Trek III: The Search for Spock”), Robyn Griggs (“Severe Injuries”), Lilith Stabs (“Malefic”), Virginia Hey (“Farscape”) and J.R. Bookwalter (“The Dead Next Door”). And that’s just scratching the surface!
Events during the show include film screenings, autograph sessions, Q&A panels, an inking workshop with artist Stanlee Houston, and the very first official mediation workshop with actress Virginia Hey – learn to de-stress with Xan! (Additional fee required for this special workshop)
The show hours are Friday 4pm to 10pm, Saturday 10am to 8pm, Sunday 11am to 6pm! So get out there and have yourself a scary little Christmas!
