Eleven prominent Houston area film critics, including Film Threat’s own Pete Vonder Haar, have banded together to form the Houston Film Critics Society, with the purpose of increasing public awareness and appreciation of cinematic excellence in the Bayou City and the surrounding areas. The HFCS is a not-for-profit organization of print, broadcast and internet film critics founded with the purpose of recognizing extraordinary accomplishment through the selection of year-end awards, and encouraging the publication and/or the broadcast of substantive critical commentary on film.
You go, Pete!
