By Film Threat Staff | October 3, 2001

The third annual Palo Alto French Film Festival will unspool on October 19 and will run throughout the weekend and continue over Monday, October 22 and Tuesday, October 23, 2001. This expands the annual festival from three days to five.
Palo Alto French Film Festival is proud to open with the second film by Bernard Rapp, A Matter of Taste. The film was nominated for five Cesar award (the French equivalent of the Oscars) and is “perverse and captivating” according to Variety. Jean-Pierre Lorit, one of the two lead actors will honor us by attending the festival and there will be a Q & A session after the screening. Afterwards, guests of the festival and film buffs will mingle at Zibibbo, the trendy Mediterranean restaurant located at 430 Kipling Street and dinner on a delicious buffet.
The festival takes place at the Spangenberg Theatre, part of Gunn High School (780 Arastradero Road in Palo Alto) and, for the first time, at the Aquarius Theatre (430 Emerson Street) in downtown Palo Alto.
