Love him or hate him, Roger Ebert still rules. For film geeks across the globe the void left by his illness and subsequent rehab has been glaring. Especially when that hole is shoddily filled by the capable Richard Roeper and a cavalcade of jackasses spewing half-cooked notions. All except for Kevin Smith who was good. And A.O. Scott. Other than that, thumbs down.
