BendFilm has announced the award winners for its 4th annual BendFilm Festival. Winners were honored during a ceremony last night held at the Les Schwab Amphitheater in Bend. Several community businesses contribute to more than $30,000 in cash prizes, which help independent filmmakers continue to produce their work.
The Best of Show with a $10,000 cash award, presented by North Rim and made possible by Brooks Resources, went to AMERICAN FORK. The coveted Katie Merritt Audience Award was a tie between OUTSOURCED and BEYOND THE CALL.

THE LITTLE GORILLA, Best Student Film, with a $3,000 cash award made possible by Mollie Hogan and Mark Fisher of the Hasson Company Realtors.
REDEMPTION MADDIE, Best Short, with a $2,500 cash award made possible by Dan and Bonnie Wieden for Caldera Arts.
Hubbel Palmer, AMERICAN FORK, Best Screenplay, with a $1,500 cash award made possible by Bob Reininger and Marci Collis: Morgan Stanley-Bend.
Aaron Katz, QUIET CITY, Best Direction, with a $1,500 cash award made possible by Cascade Arts & Entertainment.
Lynn Shelton, WE GO WAY BACK, Faerie Godmother Award for Excellence in Filmmaking by a Female Director, with a $4,000 cash award made possible by the Faerie Godmother Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation.
Colin Stryker, RIVER WAYS, Conservation Award, with a $2,500 cash award presented by the Deschutes Basin Land Trust and made possible by the Pennbrook Company.
KING CORN, Best Documentary, with a $2,500 cash award made possible by the Doctors of Advanced Specialty Care.
LOW AND BEHOLD, Best Feature, with a $2,500 cash award made possible by the Doctors of InFocus Eye Care Center.
