The 3rd Annual Maui Film Festival at Wailea began on June 12th before winding down on June 16th, 2002. The island Festival hosted premiere screenings of first-rate films alongside exclusive cultural events, industry seminars and panels.
Festival highlights (aside from the insanely beautiful location) included the coming-of-age tale Tadpole starring Sigourney Weaver and Bebe Newirth. Maui also screened Cinema Paradiso (The Director’s Cut) with more than 50 minutes of additional, gorgeous footage.
