The 2nd annual Housecore Horror Film Festival, taking place October 23-26, 2014 in Austin, TX, has announced its first round of programming highlights. From the official press release:
Heavy metal legend Philip Anselmo and best-selling true crime author Corey Mitchell’s groundbreaking horror-meets-metal event, the Housecore Horror Film Festival, is creeping ever closer. On Friday the 13th, they let slip via the official Housecore Horror Film Festival Facebook page that bloody death/grinders CATTLE DECAPITATION had signed on for the festival’s second incarnation, but now, the diabolical minds behind the proceedings have finally seen fit to bestow a nasty little surprise upon the unsuspecting public.
This year promises to drench eardrums in blood and distortion with a hugely diverse array of metallic talent from Norwegian black metal legends, Canadian noiseniks, Australian masters of death, American thrash maniacs, and tons more. Without further ado, clap your eyes on the first round of band announcements for this year’s Housecore Horror Film Festival!

He’ll be on hand for a live interview after a special screening of “AS THE PALACES BURN” and is set to be a guest presenter at the Rotscars.
This outstanding collection of heavy metal’s best and baddest will be joined by plenty of others, including a few that will blow your head clean off! Gunnar Hansen declared, “I am looking forward to coming to Austin in October for the Housecore Horror Film Festival. It is always exciting to watch TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE in a theatre with an enthusiastic audience. But this time will be extra special – it will be the first time that all of us in the cast will see the movie together.”
Expect the cast to eagerly participate in supporting their film. They will be at HHFF all weekend and participate on panels about the film, a Q&A after the screening of the film, as well as signing autographs and taking pictures with their fans. Many more bands, special guests, films, and special events to be announced over the next few months.
