Lord knows I tried, but maybe the force is with this father in A.J. and Jon Schubert’s short film, The Secret Force. Dad (Jon Schubert) has been a lifelong fan of Star Wars, and he reminds his wife of that fact every waking moment. When Dad is left alone with his infant daughter, he discovers she just might be force sensitive. Excited at the prospect of a Jedi daughter, Dad begins to train her in the ways of the force. But he keeps this training a secret from mom.

As you well may know, cute and Star Wars have been synonymous since 1977, and The Secret Force has cuteness in spades. It’s a fun comedic sketch, and clearly, Jon Schubert is making the most of his screentime with his daughter, Ellie. This very special Star Wars short is good, clean, and fun, with a nice punchline at the end.
