A low-level thief makes himself at home in search of a mysterious file in an affluent home in Andy Rossi’s short film, Surprised to See Me? Rossi also stars as the thief Seth, who easily breaks into the mansion of millionaire Thomas Daniels (Tim Kelly). Fortunately for Seth, he arrives a bit early, allowing him time to practice his “surprised to see me?” speech.
After a few passes, Seth gets bored and decides to watch some television and have pizza delivered until Thomas arrives. Soon, the doorbell rings, and his buddy Lou (James Edward Shippy) is delivering the pizza. Seth invites Lou to hang out and then asks if his girlfriend Geneva (Amy Argyle) can hang as well. Before you know it, someone you expect (or did expect) walks through the door.

With a firm grasp on the story, insane character development and performances, and editing that nails the timing perfectly, Andy Rossi’s Surprised to See Me? delivers from start to finish.
