With the conclusion of Aliens Uncovered after 21 films (excluding the “Best of’s”), one would be forgiven for assuming Clive Christopher had said everything he wanted to. But the director, writer, editor, director of photography, screenwriter, and producer is back with Skywatch. Now the question is whether or not the expert UFOlogist has anything worthwhile and engaging to tell audiences this go-round.

The documentary follows Christopher and his usual crew as they head to Sedona due to rumored odd light activity in the night sky. Kris Donald, Tom King, Andre McBride, Dan Starkey, and Christopher take a helicopter to the site. There, they set up a bunch of cameras and other equipment to record and hopefully catch something truly exciting. Do they find anything? If so, what do Christopher and company uncover?

Aliens Uncovered largely featured beautiful footage of what appeared to be extraterrestrial activity high in the sky. That series also largely had truly compelling evidence that could persuade most people to question whether humans are truly alone. What it lacked for the most part, though, was solid introductions to the people in proximity to the filmmaker and his quest. Plus, Christopher never pushed back on certain claims with historical or similar context.

Clive Christopher sits for an interview in Skywatch (2026).

“…they head to Sedona due to rumored odd light activity in the night sky.”

Skywatch fixes all of those problems. The first 50 minutes, give or take, are dedicated to introducing Christopher, his expertise in UFO/UAP phenomena, his crew/friends, and the research they are doing in this investigation. The film runs 1 hour, 15 minutes, and 38 seconds, including credits. This means the majority of the narrative is devoted to the seemingly more mundane aspects of UAP research.

Luckily, Christopher is one helluva filmmaker. This flick is gorgeous, with the drone shots being especially striking and beautiful. The pacing is quick and engaging, with no moment dragging on. The camaraderie between the filmmaker and his pals is palpable and fun. The score is energetic and fun in a way Christopher’s previous series never quite captured.

Will everyone be convinced by the conclusions drawn within Skywatch? Probably not, but the director does his best to show the important beats in real time. This allows all watching to truly understand the UAP researchers’ mindset, which is very compelling. Clive Christopher is back… with the best movie of his career to date.
