Just when I think it would be great to visit another country, a movie comes along to convince me otherwise. Roman Doronin’s S.O.S. Survive or Sacrifice will have you thinking twice before doing anything in a foreign land. OK, it might just be me, locked down in my home a little too long.
Kate (Jeannine Kaspar) is on a business trip in the Mediterranean country of Cyprus. Her plans drastically change midstream, as Kate has to pick up her younger sister Liz (Kseniya Pinch), who was kicked out of her school in England. The siblings don’t exactly get along as Kate is overprotective, and Liz resents being taken away from her friends and forced to hang out with her sister.
“…two good-looking guys, who invite them for a hot air balloon ride the next morning. What could go wrong?”
Needing to get away from the drama, Kate goes dancing at a nearby club and meets Myrianthy (Marianna Rosset). The two hit it off, and soon they are introduced to two good-looking guys, who invite them for a hot air balloon ride the next morning. What could go wrong?
Well, the group soon finds that the balloon was improperly tied to the car, and the four float away. They barely survive getting chopped up by the enormous blades of a nearby wind farm… I lied. They don’t fare so well, and horrible things happen as the balloon flies out to sea.
"…a survival film as our leads solve the puzzle of escape..."
