The documentary also features some cool looking animation when the interviewees are discussing the origin of ska and some flashbacks of their own stories. This is just another cool addition to an already packed and very informative documentary.
As I mentioned before, I’m not a big fan of ska, but by the time this documentary was over, I really appreciate and respect the genre much more now because of this documentary. And I still wanted to hear more about it. You don’t need to be a fan of ska to enjoy Pick It Up, although it definitely helps, but if you are just a fan of music, I really think that you will enjoy this documentary. It has great music, great interviews, great video footage, and is just great in general.

This movie is a fake and phony “cash grab” representation of the ska scene as a whole period.. by Clueless “Taylor Morton” .don’t waste your time paying
your hard earned cash for this bogus film. that don’t represent the whole ska movement.
“Ska” and “Cash Grab” shouldnt even be in the same sentence. ???????????? Someone is bitter against someone here…
Thanks for the great article! Just to let you know though, my name is Heather Augustyn, not Heathery. Thanks!
