As part of a 48-hour film contest, co-writers and co-directors Joe Pomarico and Christine James Walker’s Feline Abduction demonstrates how, given self-imposed restrictions of no money and no time, creative juices can be ignited.
Christine James Walker plays Ms. Kakinbols, a cat lady whose cat, Puffin, has gone missing. Now, in a state of distress, she calls upon cat detective Arnold (Joe Pomarico), who unleashes hormonal feelings in Kakinbols. But what happened to Puffin?

A photo of Puffin the cat and a bizarre baby-dangling moment set the comedic tone in Feline Abduction.
“…Ms. Kakinbols, a cat lady whose cat, Puffin, has gone missing.”
Running a brisk five minutes, Feline Abduction pays homage to comedies like Airplane! and Naked Gun. It’s loaded with sight gags—including a baby dangling—and double entendres about cats and anatomy.. Some jokes thud, but most jokes work. Either way, silliness abounds, and when there’s silliness, unplug that brain, sit back, and enjoy the ride.
