Deja Gordon headed the production design, and it is immaculate. The train is beautifully realized, with each cab filled to the brim with details to create a fully believable world. I don’t know the budget of this project, but I assure you that every penny can be seen onscreen.
While the ending is predictable and not as boldly original as the rest of the film, don’t let that stop you from checking out the movie. The directing keeps the tension high while effectively juggling the various tones and genres. The cast is nothing short of miraculous with Carter Scott giving a career-defining, star-making turn as Evelyn. The score, production design, and costuming are all equally fantastic. Overall, D-Railed is a masterwork.
