The flow Bushell achieves with editor Brett Mason maintains a high altitude throughout, riding a jet stream that never lets up. Every square inch of this picture is fascinating, whether for the fresh faces or those who have been fans of Cheech and Chong for years. And as item 9 is now legal in most places, there is no reason why you can’t watch it with your grown kids. No more hiding your Nice Dreams VHS in the sock drawer when they come to visit.
To ask if I recommend seeing Cheech and Chong’s Last Movie stoned is like asking if you would like to drink cold milk out of a glass as opposed to your bare hands. Of course, you should be high when you are watching this, as watching it straight would be like trying to listen to a Walkman without headphones (substitute iPod for Walkman if you are younger). You would still enjoy it, but the potential for the film to feed your pineal gland is only unleashed once your lungs are full of happiness.

In preparation for the screening, I secured from JARS Cannabis East Tucson the Cheech and Chong-branded weed products needed for full immersion. I emptied a bag of Chonged grape gummies and during the film smoked off two joints of Stadankohhh and one joint of Drooler. Turns out I had the nicest time. It was the kind of niceness that only comes a few times in a lifetime.
It is the splendor of when you see something truly stupendous that not only justifies a lot of what you were called stupid for liking growing up, but it also reveals that drug jokes helped the planet get it together in the marijuana sector of the future. You will resonate from the majesty of the gigantic dope throne these two sit upon. Like the classic documentary “Weed,” this documentary will be a constant reach for when my brain needs some serious relief. Cheech and Chong’s Last Movie will last you a long time through repeated viewings, as this bag never empties.
