Clive Christopher’s Aliens Uncovered: Observe And Report Part 2 is one of the best arguments for the existence of otherworldly life I have seen. Its follow-up, Moments Of Disclosure, felt more like the writer-director was obligated to get something out and didn’t have enough new material. As such, that one focused a lot on the behind-the-scenes details, which is interesting if one is into that sort of thing. Now comes the final chapter of the filmmaker exploring extraterrestrial activity on Earth (specifically in or around the mountains of Arizona) called Aliens Uncovered: Golden Frequency. For the record, I have not seen every documentary in the filmmaker’s 20 title odyssey into alien sightings. So, does this capstone work on its own, or is familiarity with the other films in the series a prerequisite?
Christopher starts the film seated in front of the camera, introducing himself. Then he trots out interviews with his usual roster of experts. They discuss the conduciveness of gold and how/why that could be of interest to travelers from another planet. Then Dan Starkey, Kris Donald, John Mahekewa, and the others bring up petroglyphs and how the aliens used them to mark locations. Oddly, all the petroglyphs are positioned to point towards vast deposits of gold. All of this is coupled with footage of possible encounters, as well as an attempt to determine whether a sighting of unusual lights was of extraterrestrial origin or could have been created by human technology.

An unidentified subject offers firsthand testimony about alien sightings near Arizona mountains in Aliens Uncovered: Golden Frequency.
“…all the petroglyphs are positioned to point towards vast deposits of gold.”
Throughout Aliens Uncovered: Golden Frequency, Christopher again fails to introduce most of the interviewees properly. As such, until the ending credits, their names are widely unknown, and their qualifications to talk about this or that remains even more of a mystery. Starkey gets an introduction, as he does himself in his first scene. Perhaps the filmmaker presumed that anyone watching this entry would have seen the earlier ones, and therefore, a proper introduction isn’t required. However, that means this doesn’t quite work as a stand-alone feature.
Happily, beyond that, the documentary presents several firsthand accounts, accompanied by video footage or photographs as evidence. Much like in Observe And Report Part 2, this is where things take off. The video, along with the witnesses’ descriptions of how things looked or felt at the time, is compelling and somewhat tricky to dismiss out of hand. Christopher debunks “rods,” something he initially took to be alien in nature. He acknowledges that these things are just winged creatures moving so fast they appear to be rod-shaped. This truly allows all watching to accept when the filmmaker, or one of his subjects, claims something to be otherworldly, as it has already been demonstrated that these people are not ignoring or dismissing science outright.
Aliens Uncovered: Golden Frequency is a swift 80-minutes. Introductions to the interviewees and an explanation of their areas of expertise would be helpful, allowing the audience to gain a comprehensive understanding of the context. However, this does not detract from the overall experience nor the compelling arguments Christopher, Starkey, Mahkewa, and the others make. It might not work 100% as a stand-alone feature, but this film does work as the final piece in this epic look at extraterrestrials and the evidence of their visits left behind.
