Born in Boston, grew up in Bar Harbor. I discovered Film Threat three decades ago in New York City while completing my BFA in Liberal Arts at Sarah Lawrence College. Per the Film Threat Film Schools Guide's recommendation, I did two years of film school at University of Toledo in the mid-90s and produced several underground films. While there I wrote a film column for Toledo's alternative weekly newspaper, The Spectrum. I also drew up and distributed a graphic novel back then, "Tales from my Parent's Garage," with more cartoons drawn online decades later featuring The Totheads, Tiskit and Taskit. While living in Austin, Texas during the turn of the century, my wife Sarah and I attended and helped out with several film festivals at the original Alamo Drafthouse downtown, including Phantasmania, Lucio Fulci Fest and the Quentin Tarantino Fests. I have judged film festivals and conducted workshops here in Tucson, Arizona. I write film reviews as well as fiction and have been playing bass in several bands over the last few years, including The Gun Drops, Lisa and the Devil, Robot Cowgirl and Hippie Crippler U.S.A.
