Cosm is doubling down on immersive cinema, announcing that its Shared Reality production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone will premiere on Thursday, May 7. Tickets go on sale today at 1 pm ET/10 am PT through Cosm.com and the Cosm app for screenings in Atlanta, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

Produced in collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures, Little Cinema, and MakeMake Entertainment, the event promises to reintroduce the Boy Who Lived in a format designed to fully engulf audiences. According to the announcement, the production is “curated to captivate the minds and imagination of guests of all ages as they become enveloped in the wizarding world and relive the magic of the first Harry Potter film in an entirely new way.”

A live audience watches Cosm’s immersive Shared Reality presentation of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, a production that premiered last year inside Cosm’s 87-foot 12K LED dome theaters in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Atlanta. The full-dome format surrounds viewers with enhanced visuals and environmental effects beyond the traditional screen.

“Transport fans into Hogwarts and the world of wizardry.”

Cosm’s venues are built around “state-of-the-art 87-foot diameter 12K+ LED domes and proprietary full-dome filmmaking technology,” designed to “transport fans into Hogwarts and the world of wizardry, surrounding them in magic, enchantment, and rich environments that complement the film, while incorporating hidden Easter eggs throughout.” In other words, this isn’t just a screening—it’s a dome-sized plunge into the Wizarding World.

The debut marks the latest collaboration between Cosm and Warner Bros., following Shared Reality presentations of The Matrix and Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. For Potter fans looking to revisit the original 2001 film in a radically different setting, May 7 is circled in bright red ink.
