ALTMAN’S OLD HANDS ON A HARD BODY

A few years back there was a quirky little doc on the festival circuit called “Hands on a Hard Body.” The premise was simple. A group of people win a contest in which they all get a chance to win a brand new truck. How do they win? They have to keep a hand on the truck and whoever keeps it on there longest, wins.

Now Robert Altman has announced that he’s going to fictionalize the doc and make it his next project. While it sounds intriguing, one has to wonder if seeing a bunch of actors leaning on a truck will be as engaging as “real” people. So far Billy Bob Thornton and Hillary Swank have been mentioned…
