Westwood Village will be the new home of Film Independent’s Los Angeles Film Festival, which runs from Thursday, June 22 – Sunday, July 2. In its expanded location, festival-goers will enjoy over 170 feature films and shorts, including Coffee Talks, Poolside Chats and other special star-studded events. Westwood Village will showcase the films among 11 theaters, all within walking distance of each other, with ample, convenient parking, and easy access to shopping and dining, setting the stage for the biggest festival yet.
“With 60,000 attendees last year and more expected this year, Westwood Village is the perfect location to handle our festival’s growing audience,” said Festival Director, Rich Raddon. “Patrons will discover easy access to screenings, events, restaurants, shopping, parking and parking shuttles making this year’s festival better than ever.”
Screenings will be held in Westwood at: Royce Hall, James Bridges Theater and Melnitz Hall on the UCLA campus and at the Geffen Playhouse, Mann Village Theatre, Landmark Regent Theatre, Italian Cultural Institute, Mann Festival Theater, Mann National Theater, Hammer Museum and the Majestic Crest Theater.
