WEST HOLLYWOOD BRINGS POWER TO THE PEOPLE

Thirty-seven human rights documentary, short, and feature films from 23 countries will screen during The Amnesty International Film Festival at the Directors Guild of America, the Pacific Design Center’s Silver Screen Theatre, and the Egyptian Theatre May 12 through 17.
Opening the festival is the Los Angeles premiere of “Carandiru”, the 10th feature film from Brazilian directorHector Babenco (“Kiss of the Spider Woman”, “Ironweed”, “At Play in the Fieldsof the Lord”).
Other films screening throughout the festival include Disbelief and Death in Gaza.
