Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is the latest example of the immersive Disney Parks Experience on steroids. Beginning with the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The idea is to allow Disney guests to live, exist, interact, and vacation in the world of Star Wars. That idea is taken to the next level with previously announced Star Wars hotel announced two-years-ago at the D23 Expo: Disney Parks presentation.
Star Wars nerds and role-playing aficionados rejoice. Galactic Starcruiser is a two-day/two-night immersive experience where you become a hero in your own Star Wars story and the choices you make on your vacay influence the way your story plays out.

Once you present your boarding passes at the terminal (valet not included), you and your party are immediately transported to your starcruiser, The Halcyon. Once aboard, you’ll be shown to your cabin, experience space dining, and prepare for your excursion to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu. As you travel, you’re invited to dive deeper into your personal adventure with onboard activities, Star Wars character interactions, and brief encounters with crew and fellow passengers.
Adding to this immersive experience is a little Disney magic. You’ll jump to hyperspace in a transport taking you from the real world to the Halcyon. The Launch Pod docks and the sound of the air locks will give you Jedi goosebumps. All port windows, even the one in your cabin, has a view of the galaxy with ever-changing vistas as you journey from port to port. The only thing missing is a kiosk for the Disney Vacation Club.

Now the adventure part. Adults and children are invited to wield lightsabers, taking on the training remotes to discover your own connection with the Force. Your day on the bridge includes learning the ship’s systems specifically navigation and defense. Not that you’ll need them anytime on your peaceful vacation. Oh no. No danger at all.
During free time, you can choose to adventure into the hidden areas of the Halcyon, deep within the mechanics of the ship. Maybe (most likely) you’ll uncover a few mysteries…or attend a secret meeting or two. The more you explore, the richer your adventure comes.
