SUBMIT TO THE 2001 B-MOVIE FILM FEST

By Film Threat Staff | February 26, 2001

If you’re a fan of the B-movie tradition, then consider this your call to arms. The third-annual B-Movie Film Festival is tentatively scheduled to take place on [ September 8th and 9th, 2001 ] in Syracuse, New York. The Fest is accepting features and shorts until [ July 1st ] , and in case you need a better idea of what they’re looking for, then consider the following:
The festival defines a “B-Movie” as a low-budget film which provides a level of entertainment and/or artistic value which rivals or surpasses big-budget mainstream pictures. All genres are welcome for consideration, including short subjects and documentaries, and the festival would prefer films with a defined narrative versus free-form experimental work.
All film submissions will be eligible for a notorious Killer-B Award, and some films will receive possible theatrical and home video release. The Festival also coincides with the fourth-annual inductions into the online B-Movie Hall of Fame, a grouping of the best and brightest in B-dom.
