From [ October 20th to the 22nd, 2000, ] the 8th Annual Twin Rivers Media Festival of Minden, WV. will cram not only festival mainstays like features, shorts, and animation into their 3-day event, but also experimental and commercial films, audio soundtracks, CD and Internet multimedia, scripts, and special features that focus on the wild life of outdoor sports like mountain biking, canoeing, and environmental concerns. But, they can’t host this truly eclectic Fest without your submissions.
The initial deadline for entries is [ October 2nd, 2000, ] with the late deadline falling on [ October 9th, 2000. ] The fee structure for the Festival is also unique, and allows for multiple entries without maximum stress on the usually-empty filmmaker wallet: one entry should be accompanied by the $19 fee, and each additional entry is only $10. For students, it’s $10 for the first go-round, and $8 thereafter.
Prizes include cash from a $1,500 pot, and a special award from Canoe and Kayak Magazine will go to the best outdoors-themed piece in each category. The Festival can be reached at:
