OR DIE TRYING Announces Official Release Date
Series About Millennial Women in Hollywood to Debut June 9th, 2017 on YouTube
Executive producers Sarah Hawkins and Myah Hollis announced today that their highly anticipated series, OR DIE TRYING , will be releasing it’s first season via YouTube on June 9th.
“We want to empower our audience that their voices and dreams are valid and worth fighting for. That means ensuring everyone has access to the series. We feel YouTube is the ideal outlet for our debut season.”
Written by Myah Hollis and directed by Camila Martins, OR DIE TRYING takes a slice of life approach to the unique highs and lows, failures and successes, of being young millennial women working in the film industry in Los Angeles. Although the show’s producers are passionate about progressive the narrative of women in film through its production–boasting of a crew that is over 85% female–the series’ story has more universal themes.
“At its core, this show is about people. It’s about figuring out what you want in life, going after it, and learning to deal with your personal obstacles along the way,” says Hollis, the show’s creator/writer. “I hope that people take what they need from our series. Whether it be inspiration to create their own work and tell their own stories, or just the reassurance that it’s okay to be imperfect and to not have everything figured out.”
