directed by Shaun Peterson
Synopsis
Living
In Missouri is a comedy of manners which tells the story
of Ryan, Amy, and Todd, whose humdrum Midwestern lives are starting to
come apart at the seams. Personal betrayals abound when childhood friendships,
broken-down marriages, and long-repressed desires come into conflict over
the course of one tumultuous Missouri autumn.
Living in Missouri
is a challenging, darkly comic film, shot on location in Missouri and
Kansas. Boasting a colorful cast of supporting characters, the film veers
from dark humor to intense drama, at each turn authentically capturing
the bizarre spirit of the Suburban Midwest.

Quotes
"Complex as well as Funny. A Midwestern mix of "Clerks"
and "Chuck and Buck." Bodes well for the careers of director
Shaun Peterson, scenarist Connor Ratliff and principal thesps."-
Dennis Harvey, Variety
"A reality on Hollywood! This is Middle American
existentialism at its most naturalistic, full of Star Wars figures and
underarticulated desire."- Cindy Windner, Austin Chronical
"FOUR STARS!" An anti-Norman Rockwell bleak
comedy that some how-incredibly-manages to be as funny as it is luridly
depressing."- Merle Bertrand, Film
Threat
"Superbly Acted….Devastating…It's low-to-no
budget moviemaking at its best!"- Robert Butler, Kansas City
Star
"Shrewdly Funny…Sets a high standard for Contemporary
Comedies!"- Joe Williams, St. Louis Post-Dispatch
"Funny, Poignant, Heartfelt, Tragic! Hits a nerve
and tickles a funny bone. It's clear that director Shaun Peterson is a talent behind the camera."- Wallace Baine, Santa Cruz Sentinal
"The real find here is Ian McConnel. He is masterful
as Todd. It's an amazing performance!"- The Lodger
