Faraday Okoro’s Nigerian Prince Finds His Way Home

Writer/director Faraday Okoro’s feature debut, Nigerian Prince is about a Nigerian-American teenager who is sent to Nigeria against his will and joins forces with an internet scammer in order to return to the United States. The film premiered April 2018 at the Tribeca Film Festival.  It stars breakout newcomers, Chinaza Uche and Antonio Bell and was shot on location in Lagos, wrapping in less than 12 months.

Nigerian Prince is part of AT&T and Tribeca’s film initiative, AT&T Presents: Untold Stories. An Inclusive Film Program providing up to $1 million for a selected film meant to ensure that diverse storytellers have an opportunity to make their films. The initiative is a multi-year, multi-tier alliance between AT&T and Tribeca along with Tribeca Film Institute and debuted at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival.

Nigerian Prince will come to theaters in fall of 2018 in New York and Los Angeles. The film will also be released to streaming as well as DIRECTV and U-verse.
