Looks like Lasse Hallstrom's version of a campfest. Jeremy Irons barking, Lena Olin looking generally the same as she did in "Chocolat", Oliver Platt being a comedic ass (and not to good effect because more fat jokes aren't what movies need), and Heath Ledger mumbling to try to effect an accent.
