A million dollars to the person with the right guess.*

*a million dollars = a note of praise.

Could it be the bottled water? Not much of that stuff in the fifties.

I'll take the million in gold ingots. Much more liquid than praise.

Yes! How could they have made such a simple mistake. No gold for you. But I'm VERY IMPRESSED!

'ol Eagle Eye Judex...haha

What a great job of reconstructing an era; but somebody certainly dropped the ball on that. Interesting pic, True..hehe

Are we sure this is actually a still from the movie, and not a photo from the set? Because that's not a minor gaff.

It's a photo I got from the NYT review of the film. I believe it to be a still and not just a still of behind the scenes.

But we cannot be sure until we watch the film. But I'm pretty confident that the f'ed up.

It just seems pretty extreme that they would fuck up twice: once by leaving the bottle in the shot, and then again by releasing it as one of the promo stills. But it sounds like that's exactly what they did.

I showed my Mom the still from the movie and she said, "Bottled water. Yeah right. We didn't have bottled water back then."

An amusing glaring error, however.

Saw that right away.

That has to be the BIGGEST anachronism/mistake I've seen in a movie since the passenger in "Titanic" wearing a digital watch.

Great job, True. Funny as hell.

The actors look too comfortable for that to be an actual shot scene. I am going for behind-the-scenes still.

You were right, Mike. I looked at the New York Times review, and found the photo credited to Melinda Sue Gordon. Her IMDB listing reveals her as a still photographer on this and many other movies. No indication, however, as to whether this was during the filming of a scene or simply director Clooney chatting with his actors.

Hey for those who have watched the film, did you see if the photo's in the frame on the big screen too?

I didn't notice it.

Looks more like product placement to me.

I think they're discussing how Viagra has improved their sex lives.

And talking about going to the bar after work to get a Bud Lite. ;)

Probably, but I love anachronisms nonetheless.

In this age of digital magic, you would think anachronisms would be a thing of the past. It's so easy to just paint them out.
