I am a big Coen Brothers fan, and I've been waiting for a while to see Miller's crossing. But I could only make it through the first 15 minutes - the plot moves so slowly, there's way too much talking, especially when we barely know who these characters are. And the lighting and camerawork is just sub par, which is really suprsing for a Coen's film (although their best DP collaborator, Roger Deakins, didn't shoot this one, Barry Sonnenfield did, which might explain some of it)

So my question to you is: should I finish the film, or send it back to Netflix from whence it came?

Watch!! I think the scene where Albert Finney pull out a tommy gun and blasts away makes the whole movie. I'll take a bad Cohen Bros pic over almost everything Hollywood offers.

Alright, soon I'll take it out of it's Netflix sleeve and pop it in the DVD player...
