what's everyone's thought on the best Star Wars collector's item of all-time, keeping the original price under $10? mine just might be this june's issue of playboy, with bai ling rocking the light saber on the cover :). since it's been announced that she's been cut from the movie,i'm banking on the value going up (sort of like that dale murphy error card upper deck put out in '89)

I read the scene she is in from the shooting script. Lucas plans to put that deleted scene on the DVD. So we'll see it at some point. But I prefer seeing her sans Star Wars garb in the latest Playboy.

It's the tall Snagglepuss action figure. No question.

My favorite would have to be the Anakin Kenner figure that you had to mail away for. I remember peeing in my pants about that figure when I was a little piece of poo.

For me, I try to collect Star Wars items that I know will be rare, overlooked or are just plain bizarre. Items in my collection include:

- A Darth Vader voice changer from Japan from the "George Lucas Super Live Adventure" - No, I am not making that up.

- A custom made George Lucas action figure.

- A box of fruit roll ups from Star Wars Episode I. Someone must have been asleep at the marketing wheel when this was produced. These are "Jar Jar Fruit Roll Ups" -- guess what flavor? WATERMELON! Yikes.

I always wanted one of those R2D2-shaped ice chests they used to sell at Wal-Mart.

Oh wait, that's SnaggleTOOTH. I am getting old.

You could buy the Jimmy Smits doll, a Susan Dey Partridge Family Doll, a Harry Hamlin doll from Clash of the Titans, and a Larry Drake doll from Darkman and you could have a make believe session of LA Law.

Rawk on!

I prefer to collect the stuff I know noone cares about... like Congo action figures, and figures from shows/movies that nobody cares about.

I just got a lightsabre spoon in a box of Frosted Flakes. It lights up red. I guess cereal prizes have gotten a lot better since I was a kid.

Best cereal prizes I remember were the Captain Crunch balloon launcher and the Fruity Pebbles popsicle molds... along with those cool Alphabits Terrariums...

Another cool Star Wars collectible is, of course, that Holiday special bootleg. Nothing beats Starship rocking out in a galaxy far, far, away.

Best SW collector item...

Your girlfriend/wife washing her car in a Slave Leia outfit. Though I would think they would want more than 10 bucks for doing it.

Wait, I just got an idea... I could CHARGE geeks 10 bucks to WATCH her wash the car. I would then go "Uber-Geek" and blow all my money on some vintage "Fuzzy Wampa Slippers" ala 1980.

Until then, I'll have to settle for my can of Jar Jar "Crazy Foam."

I got a 1978-1979ish C3PO mini-statue. It was some knock-off... but it looks real cool... and anyone that sees it usually freaks out.

#1. The ultra rare (only 4 in existance) BOBA FETT action figure that actually shot the dart from his back pack. [[see the Steve Sansweet book about that]]

#2. The real One Sheet movie poster (not reprint) of the 1 year anniversary of the original 1978 Star Wars, the one with a picture of the birthday cake surrounded by action figures. My friend traded over $8,000 worth of movie posters to get that one poster. It was only sent to theatres that had played the movie for over 1 year consecutively.

#3. The obvious Sears mail-in BLUE full size Snaggletooth action figure, but WITH the Sears exclusive playset.

I know this isn't as good as some of the stuff here, but when I was a kid I got a Revenge of the Jedi poster from Bantha Tracks. I thought it was really awesome until I learned there's another version of that poster that's even more rare.

I hope somebody might like this. The original Phantom menace master prints. So rare it's the only one. Hurry auction ends soon:
