Why does Disney even PRETEND that their CGI work can compete with other big-budget houses?
I guess they can get away with it for a movie aimed straight at 10 year olds.

Actually, Walden Media fielded the cost for the special effects. Disney's just the distributor, just like last time with the production company's "Around the World in 80 Days".
