Jesus Christ! I just watched Reflections of Evil last night, as Damon Packard was cool enough to offer me a screener for review awhile back. And, uh... what can I say? I'm stunned. It's unlike anything else I've ever seen. I'm convinced that Packard is some kind of demented genius and the film just might be a visionary masterpiece. I really don't know what to make of it. My head is still spinning. What an experience.

Yup, join the club. I felt exactly the same way. It was hard trying to watch anything else after that. What do you follow "Reflections of Evil" with?

Although much of it is brilliant, the film could have been cut by 35 minutes and it would have been an even stronger film for it (at nearly 140 minutes, it's a bit too long for its own good). But still... wow.

just wanted to say thanks, I'm going to post
this discussion up on the website (good
publicity).
Hopefully some mad billionaire will throw money
at me so I can continue unleashing films to the
public. Yea, and hopefully all the world's
pollution will vanish tomorrow too.
((sigh))

Damon's Star Wars mockumentary is brilliant. You MUST see this thing. Somehow you have to get that out there Damon! Put clips on your site. Do something!

Yeah I saw REFLECTIONS OF EVIL at Montreal’s Fant-Asia festival last month & I was convulsing with laughter so hard tears were streaming down my face. Stunned disbelief. It was my favorite film of the fest. How on earth did Damon Packard get those packs of dogs & homeless people to bark at him like that? Now THAT’S special effects. When’s the behind-the-scenes “making of” collector’s item book gonna come out? I doubt it’ll ever play again in any other theatre here (but who knows for sure); so I had to order a copy so I could show other people.

Crap, how come I can't edit my post? I tried to correct the spelling of "saws" to "saw" in my last post but after editing, when & try to punch in the finished thing, I get a "this page cannot be displayed" notice. Oh, well...

Crap, that spelling correction did work after all. Weird. Sorry about that. Carry on...

'cause I'm special and on the third try managed to google my way to the correct answer to Damon's skill testing question.
:p
Apparently somebody sent a disc back to him and I was lucky enough to scoop it up.
And it just arrived in my mailbox! Yes!

The first time I saw this SW Mock, I was laughing so hard that my neighbors from the building next to me heard me and had to find out what was so funny. This is the best SW mocumentary I ever seen, and I've seen many come my way.
It plays at the Michigan Ind. Film Fest this week. Anyone who lives in Mi. must see this flick!
It will be on my top ten list this year!

I had a few friends over last week and ran the untitled star wars mockumentary for them. It was damned satisfying to look over and see four people doubled over and laughing so hard they couldn't breathe.
Thanks Damon Packard!

I bought his "Untitled Star Wars Mockumentary." I even gave him more money than he was asking for, since I heard he was hurting.
Last I heard of (about three months ago) he was dead broke, was selling his Mac G4 for food money, was possibly living in his nonfunctional car, and his web site was going to be taken down for unpaid server bills.
The web site is still up. Nothing looks more recent than about three months ago.
Has Damon Packard finally taken a coil of rope and wandered into the woods? Aside from this appearance of one of his films at a film festival, has anyone seen him in the flesh and walking around?
Or is all this one of those pathetic put-ons by someone who feels the need to lie? If it is, it might go over better over at Ain't It Cool News, where the other pretenders thrive.
