(originally posted on 9-12 in the announcements because it is, sort of, an announcement, but I guess that space is for 'official' annoucements....sorry)

So I just had to do this. My wife and I are celebrating our five year wedding anniversary tomorrow-9/12 (yeah, I know, weird timing.) It is a really significant milestone for us and I wanted to share it with the world....or at least this world...is this a world...maybe just all of you out there. So that's why this Anniversary card to my wife is in the annoucements...I mean who reads announcements but the freaks who just devour news of all kind...like me.

To celebrate this momentous occasion I will give my top ten movie moments that my wife and I have had in our life together. If you don't like lists....too bad!

-Romeo+Juliet: One of our first dates together at the $1.50 theatre (they have any more of those?) Although we, as English majors, cringed at the site of Mercutio in drag (well everyone in drag) we got caught up in the lovey-dovey moment that only a chaep-date can give.

-Boogie Nights: How sick did we feel after this movie?! I think we're still washing off the sticky film "that just won't go away."

-Henry Fool: Ah, to be in a college town and use big words and stuff laundry into too small of a machine with not enough quarters. Ah, to be pretentious and sound like you actually know everything.

-The Big Lebowski: I think we saw this movie at least a dozen times. First, it was free (I had friends in weird places) and second, it's just not every day that you can see a check being made out for 0.65 cents on the big screen......gotta love apartment life.

-Kurt & Courtney: I'll never forgot the time when we both gazed into each other's eyes...and slowly realized....that.........
Courtney IS evil and must be stopped.

-Notting Hill: AAAwhhhhh so sweet. You see honey, people who own their own business can find hapiness...just date a multi-millionaire celebrity.

-High Fidelity: You read the book, it's still one of you're favorites. I still haven't read the book and....I KNOW, I KNOW....still haven't made you a mixed tape.

-Office Space: White men listening to gansta rap...'nuff said.

...and my all time favorite movie moment with my wife is...

-Alien Ressurection: Probably one of my most memorable times together for it was when I dragged you to a movie that had all six of your deadly fears in one scene: Being chased...under water....by lizards....in a closed tight metallic enclosure....floating through outer space. You buried your head in my shoulder and cursed my name for days.

There are, of course, a lot more. I just wanted everyone on this forum to puke with envy about our marriage making it to the five year mark. Seriously though, I love you Heather. Everything from your smile, your creative talent, your intelligence, and most of all how you can laugh hysterically at the weirdest things in movies (like a mail-man walking in the background with his hat on backwards, birds lined up on telephone poles, a dog with clothes on....weird stuff.) Happy 5th Anniversary, Heather.
