So, does anyone out there care whether Ben & Jen will survive their "Gigli" nightmare, or Ben's supposed romp at a strip club? How about "Ah-nuld" running for Governor of California? Or the real question, how does a cool guy like Chris Gore manage not to lose his mind living in La La Land?

I can't speak to the Ben thing. In fact, I don't care at all about BenJen or Arnold. Doing projects like FT allow me an outlet and I guess that helps me keep some amount of sanity. Plus the fact that I refuse to work in a traditional corporate office. I'm just shocked someone called me cool. I mean, folks, c'mon, I am a geek of the highest order. I thought that was apparent. Don't let those drunken festival photos on the Film Threat site fool you. I am pure geek.

Did I say cool?... I meant "down to earth" & unaffected, like most of the wankers out there.
Don't worry, we all know you're a geek (especially those of us who've had the pleasure of hanging out with you at a fest or ComiCon)!

By the way...Ben & Jen SUCK!

I care.

No. Wait. No I don't.

I still write about stupid shit like that, though:

Funny blog Pete.
Only in California!
You know, Larry Flynt can't really "run" for anything... ha, ha, ha! Oops, sorry Chris, I know you used to work for the guy!...

Seriously, do any of the movie geeks out there think the "Gigli" stink is going to stay with Ben & Jen for awhile? Or is that the stink of too much $ and over-exposure?

Anybody sad that Gregory Hines died?

I always thought Gregory Hines was an advanced kind of cool.. seemed to have this gentle grace about him.. one of the few people I've heard of dying lately that I gave a shit about...

Bob Hope died in my mind a long time ago.. isn't that just awful? Guess I don't want my heroes in wheelchairs doing the bobble-head tango. Speaking of which, did Richard Pryor kick yet? I want to remember him from that one concert movie... and no other way.

Getting older sucks! You watch all these icons of TV and movies die... and realize that the world you know is being chipped away a little at a time.. (I'm 40). When we are very old, is the world we believe in just a memory we carry around and bore the crap out of people with? That's cheery.

One of the things I love about movies is the way they stop time... I think I need to go watch Captain Blood again!

It is a shame about Gregory Hines. He definitely had an understated, zen-like cool about him. Oddly enough the movie he was in that always sticks out for me was Wolfen. Well, there was that really bad dance/espionage thing he was in with Mikhail Baryshnakov (sp?).

Care to qualify such a bold statement and put it to the test? (http://www.innergeek.us/geek.html)
