I hate vampire broad flicks 95-now. I cannot stand Heat. I love "The Shining" on an atmospheric deal. The thing I agree most on are these overpayed assholes that live on overinflted or underinflated flicks that make too much money and reputation in movie houses or home whatevers. Like Missy Mundane, yeah she looks good on the boxes but on video she looks like a 2 year heavy coke addict. And I don't even like her filcks. They're Fred Olen Ray-(minus). Anyway I don't even like fuck flicks but if I did I would rather watch my copy of New Wave Hookers or Educating Mandy than that bad news. It's a sad state of affairs when that's the norm.

Back to the Horror aspect. You're adept to know the leap from the jump and I would be interested to Know the films that make you jump, antisipate, or otherwise are uneasy to turn the lights down.(Not the obvious...The Texas Chansaw Massacre, Cannibal Holocaust,NOTLD,I spit on your grave,Last house). just cuious because the films I just mention make me squirm.

For sheer, out-and-out CREEPINESS, there's this flick called "The Baby." It's rated PG, but is more disturbing and shudder-inducing than most R-rated "horror" released today.

It's from the late 70's or early 80's and stars no one I recognize. The story revolves around this fucked-up family. There's a mother, two sisters, and a brother. The father is dead or missing. The brother is in his 20's, but still acts like a newborn baby because the mother and sisters conspire to keep him that way. Any time he tries to do anything "grown-up" or "adult," he gets beaten and abused. The plot unfolds as a new social worker comes to visit this family and decides to do something about it.

The abuse is implied more than shown, and when it does occur it's far from graphic, usually below-the-frame type stuff. True creepiness sets in when the social worker engages in a power struggle with the mother over control of Baby. But the best part is the guy who plays Baby -- he has the infantile mannerisms and vocalizations down pat. It really sells the character, which is key to the entire film.

I saw this flick on VHS a few years ago. Anyone else heard of/seen/know anything about it?
