How's he doing? Is he still alive? I heard that they were doing a restoration of Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls for DVD. Man, it's WAAAY past due for the remastered and annotated Russ Meyer collection.

Last I heard anything about Russ Meyer, his live-in girlfriend (a woman roughly half his age) was arrested for assaulting Russ while he was taking a nap on the couch. This was a year ago at least.

As far as the DVD of "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls" goes, it better have audio commentary by Russ on it. His commentary on the laserdisc release of "Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!" is just what you'd expect from a seventy year old horndog from hell. Simply priceless.
